I had a horrendous experience at Jack-in-the-box. Gaston, the manager on duty, took no effort to ensure my satisfaction and generally seemed like he did not care. In any case, I went through the drive-thru and ordered a Munchie Meal with a simple request of ONLY curly fries with no regular french fries. I was denied immediately from the associate informing me that he could not do that. When I asked why at the menu, I was met with no response. I had to repeat myself several times, I think their menu intercom is broken. I pull up to the drive thru window and meet with the manager, Gaston. I informed him that we would like curly fries only instead of the halfsies regular french fry/curly combination. He informs me that he can not do that under any circumstance. OF COURSE we all know that this is a simple request. Your regular french fries are absolutely horrible Jack-in-the-box. They could have simply upcharged me and I would have been MORE THAN HAPPY to pay any amount of money within reason to just get curly fries with this Munchie Meal but apparently there are sinister forces at work that they cannot satisfy your customer. What really made me upset was that I asked the manager if he wanted me to be a satisfied customer. He directly told me that it was not his fault and that was it. AND YOU ARE THE MANAGER???? I asked for the corporate office's number. They took extra long on the one item I ordered. I expect that they probably slathered my food in spit, but alas this is fast food we are talking about with people who aren't paid enough to care. And it really shows that they just do not care. Do yourself a favor, do not come to this establishment. Any corporate response is more than welcome, but I already have low expectations as is.
